How it works
Free check
We compare your County value with 3–5 recent sales of similar homes nearby and look for errors in your County record, like wrong square footage.
Honest answer
Likely too high, borderline, or fair. If it's fair or low, we'll tell you not to file. Appeals can also raise a value.
You file, prepared
If it's worth it, get an evidence packet with your comparable sales and complaint-form entries filled in. You sign and file it yourself.
How much could you save?
| County value of your home | $400,000 |
| Value supported by recent nearby sales | $350,000 |
| Too high by | $50,000 |
| Tax saved per year (at about 2% effective rate) | ≈ $1,000 |
| Until the next county reappraisal (often up to 3 years) | up to ≈ $3,000 |
Illustrative example only. Your savings depend on your home, your tax district's rate and the Board of Revision's decision. Some appeals don't succeed, and the Board can also raise a value. That's why we tell you when not to file.

Questions
Is this the County Auditor?
No. Value My Home Fairly is an independent service, started in Cincinnati, from Pal Initiatives LLC. We are not affiliated with Hamilton County, the Auditor or the Board of Revision.
Are you lawyers or appraisers?
No. We prepare factual information from public records to help you file your own complaint. We don't file for you, represent you or give legal advice. For complex or commercial cases we'll point you to an attorney.
Could appealing raise my value?
Yes, the Board can keep, lower or raise a value. That's why our check tells you when not to file.
When can I file?
Ohio complaints are filed with the County Board of Revision between January 1 and March 31. Join the list and we'll remind you.
What happens to my information?
We use your address to look up public property records and your email to send your result and reminders. We don't sell or share it, and we'll delete it on request.
